ADS1293: RSTB pin specifications

Part Number: ADS1293

Hi,

The ADS1293 data sheet has limited information about the specifications of the RSTB pin. I understand the basic functionality of the pin but I was wondering about acceptable hardware configurations. The reference designs within the data sheet have this pin connected to a pullup resistor when not in use, I assume to ensure there is no high to low transition. My question is can this pin be left unconnected if the pullup resistor competes for board real estate or will this make the chip function unreliably?

Thanks

David

  • Hi David,

Internally there is a 1M Ohms pullup resistor for both SYNCB and RSTB (RESETB) pins. When not in use, the RSTB pin can be left floating. You can also verify this by measuring the voltage on the RSTB pin without the external pullup resistor.

    Thanks.
