LM98620: Configuration questions

Hello team,

Is it OK to write to reserved address (e.g. 3E)? Do you expect any risk of malfunction if I write to it?

When SENB is set to "H", even if SCLK or SDI signals are input, do you think no writing will be done and no malfunction will happen?

Hi Itoh,

Is there any reason why you would want to write to the reserved register? It should be ok if you do, but I don't anticipate a reason why you would need to do this.

Yes according to the datasheet "While SEN is high, the AFE will accept either high or low with respect to SCLK and SDI."

Hello Aaron-san,

My customer is trying to design a new board without changing the I/F with the prior board. The AFE's serial interface signal is shared with the FPGA, so the customer needs to check about the reserved register stuff.

Itoh-san,

I wouldn't anticipate there being an issue. Generally reserved registers cannot be written to.
