ADC12DJ5200RFEVM: ADC connection to ADC EVM GUI not working

To add to this, when I plug the 12-volt source into the board, LED D2 and D3 flicker on for a second, then turn off. With the source in place, no LEDs are on after the original flicker.

Hi Kai,

The LED flicker should be fine with the initial 12V turned on.

Please make sure the current limit on the 12V supply is 3A.

Can you also let me know what version of the ADC GUI you are using? Please make sure you are using version 1.1.

Yes, I am using version 1.1. I used various power supplies and looking at them, some of the ones I used say that the supply is 3A (and still hasn't worked).

Could this be a driver issue? My professor was able to get the ADC to work on his computer a while back, but with him helping me now, we aren't able to get it to work on my computer.

Just to make sure, you are referring to the ADC GUI for the ADC12DJ5200RF to control/configure the ADC, correct?

Not HSDC-Pro SW?

We are not aware of any driver issues with various computers for the ADC GUI.

Would it be possible to send me what error is happening? Screen shot or error message?

And with the 12 volt supply and micro USB connected to my computer, I run the GUI program and I get this:

I feel like I'm missing something in getting the device to be found by my computer.

Hi Kai,

If you have verified that this EVM is working on another computer, then its most likely a USB issue. 

Have you tried using another USB cable? Are you connected directly to the PC? Sometimes a USB HUB, if used, can also cause issues.

Please let me know if you have tried these suggestions.

I have tried two different USB connections and still get the same message. Here are some photos of the ADC with the power and USB connection, the power supply I have showing that it outputs 3A, and the USB going into my computer with no hub. I WAS using a hub earlier, but it doesn't seem to work directly into my computer as well. 

My computer recognizes a device being connected to my computer as shown in the photo below:

I don't know if this is what it's supposed to look like.

Here is what you should see in the device manager and the printer/properties like what you have shown above.

Can you tell me the Revision of the EVM? RevA, RevB or RevC?
