ADS1256: 11

Part Number: ADS1256

Has put forward the question 20 days ago, did not find any valuable technical support. Once again, hope to meet with technology and gives directions:
When sampling a fixed level, such as 2.5 V when using the 2.5/5/10 SPS ADS1256 accurately measured voltage of 2.5 V, but use other faster SPS ADS1256 measured voltage on the low side too much (only about 2.03 V when the measured 100 SPS; Higher SPS, the measured voltage lower). All channel, single-ended and differential problem is same.
I used  cycle read mode according to the manual , waiting the DRDY is low, a new channel switching, read the previous conversion value...
from The official website, and then goto support E2E,  a series of operations to today, nearly 20 days, problem a bit didn't get the response, professional TI experts where to find? help me!!!

  • Hi User,

Can you provide a link to your previous post from 20 days ago? I could not find it, but I would like to review.

Can you also provide more information regarding your specific application?

    • A system schematic so we can see how the device is set up
    • ADS1256 register settings
    • Any additional information you think would be useful

It sounds like you are reading data correctly, so my guess would be there is a settling issue somewhere in your circuit. Please let us know.

  •      I only want to know why increase SPS, the result become lower than 2.5SPS, only one queastion i asked so much times, no reply!!!!!!!!

  • Hi User,

There could be many reasons why you are not getting the results you want. If you do not provide more information, I can only guess as to what your issue is.

As I said in the previous post, this sounds like an analog setting issue. In other words, your input signal is taking a long time to settle, so as you speed up the data rate you are starting to sample an unsettled signal, leading to errors.

But it is hard to know if this is actually the issue, or even tell you how to fix it, unless you provide more information about your system. Please provide a schematic and your register settings so I can assist you further.
