  • Hi,

    Any update on this matter?

  • Hi Maynard,

It seems like there is some issue with the USBStyx driver during the installation process. When you start the ADS1299ECG-PDK software, you should see the EVM re-enumerate as a USBStyx device. I have posted the picture from the original post here for your reference.

Please uninstall the software completely and try to reinstall the software with the Administrator right. Please make sure you follow the step 3.3.1 in the user's guide (page 12) to install the USBStyx driver.

    Thanks

  • Hi TC,

Good day, I just received follow up response from customer. They encountering new error. Below is the inquiry.

    "

    "An error occured with error code 6004lib 1299.lvlib: check_styx_err.vi <ERR> cannot get a fid / ads1299evm / data
    <b> Complete call chain </b> lib1299.lvlib: check_styx_err.vi lib1299.lvlib: lvstyx_write_path.vi ADS1299EVM_Main.vi. "

I already checked in some IT forums, and I have tried the following steps.
    1. Check out the following forum ...
    e2e.ti.com/.../656505
I followed each one of the steps in the installation of the Software and Drivers, with all the administrator rights, the device appears as "NMBO (NI-VISA)" before starting the software, after starting the software the card is renamed as "USBStyx", (I attach the screenshots)
However, when I connect the card the software takes more than 10 minutes to "read records" then I click on "Acquire" and that is when the error message is displayed.

2: I already check that the configuration of the pins is as established by the user guide (p. 6-7)

    3. I have already done the "power supply" tests in each of the points as established in the user guide (page 15) and the measurements are correct.

    4. However I still get the same error message and the card is not functional.

    5. I already uninstalled and reinstalled following each of the steps several times, with the antivirus turned off, but I can't correct the error.

I forgot to mention that I am using a 6.5V 500mA board supply

  • Hi Maynard,

Please see below for a few things to check after the EVM is connected and the GUI software starts.

    1. When you start the GUI software, are you able to see the "Sync Complete...Ready" on the right side of the title bar? See the attached image of what the status message looks like when the EVM is connected and ready. Please also check if the device registers read and write operation is functional.

    2. Usually, the lack of DRDY or CLK signals  to the device causes a long time for the "Acquire" action to complete and throws an error. Please verify if the device is set to internal or external clock mode with the jumper setting of JP23.

If I think of something else to try, I will reply to this thread.

    Thanks

  • Hi TC,

Good day.  I just received response from the customer. Ill copy below

    "

When I connect the card and start the software, the message it displays is that it finds the firmware and loads the firmware.
Then for about 10 - 15 minutes it stays "reading registers" after that the legend "Sync Complete ... Ready" appears. however the error message appears

"An error occurred wit errro code 604 ....."

The configuration of the pins is correct as indicated in the user guide, I had already commented on that but I attached a photo of my card

I could already check the DRDY signal on an oscilloscope and it is a one line has no variation, the clock signal is a signal that looks like noise instead of a clock signal

I assume my card is no longer functional or is there something else I need to check?

I would also like to know if there is any guarantee for the card, I bought it less than 6 months ago and I was never able to work with it correctly.
