ADS1298RECGFE-PDK DB15 input diagram

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ADS1298RECGFE-PDK, ADS1298R, ADS1298

Dear all,

Hoping my e-mail finds you fine...

Kindly asking for the input diagram of the BD15 connector of the evaluation kit ADS1298RECGFE-PDK.

I am planning to use this kit as a high speed and high precision ADC for 8 separate input signals to be fed directly to the DB15 connector instead of the 8 differential inputs to reduce the errors and size.

Hoping to receive your kind support asap.

Yours truly,

Mahir

  • Hi Mahir,

The schematic diagram of the DB15 in the ADS1298RECGFE-PDK in located in the back of the Users Guide (attached for your reference).  The wiring of the DB15 uses eight inputs to the (+) terminals of the ADS1298R with the (-) terminals being fed from the WCT via the jumper blocks JP26 through JP33.  The exception here is with CH2 and CH3, the (-) terminals on these channels connect to ECG_RA.

  • Hi Tom,

Thanks for your kind information, I checked the Users Guide and it is rather difficult!!!

I am wondering if WCT can be disabled completely and the 8 signals we have are fed directly through the DB15 as these 8 signals have a common negative signal. so that we can use the same ECG software to monitor thse signals and making proper analysis.

    Best Regards

    Mahir

  • Hi Mahir,

You may have noticed JP16 in the schematic (page 77 of the document I mentioned), that jumper brings the WCT out of the ADS1298 and into the various (-) inputs.  You can simply remove that jumper and tie your common (-) signal there.  That signal would also go to the ECG_RA input which is pin 9 of the DB15.
