Filter bypass

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DAC3283, ADS62P49

Hello,

I am using the module FMC150 based on ADS62P49 and DAC3283.
I don't know how it is possible to bypass high pass filters?

Regards,
Evgenia.

  • Evgenia,

I have contacted 4DSP and asked for the FMC150 schematic in order to better address your questions.

Which high pass filters are you referring to?

The FMC150 is based on our TSW4200 EVM. In terms of filters on the TSW4200 EVM board, I believe there is only a DAC output reconstruction filter, which is a low pass filter, not a high pass. It is possible to bypass the low pass filters by moving the resistor jumpers around. I am not sure about the design of the FMC150, and will need more information from 4DSP to find out.

FYI, there is also a support forum on 4DSP as well in case you need future support of their products.

  • Evgenia,

I was told that since FMC150 as well as its schematic and layout are IP property of 4DSP, all the questions should be addressed by 4DSP. Please kindly post your question on the 4DSP forum link as shown above.

  • Dear Evgenia,

You can download FMC150 schematics from avnet after registering there (https://www.em.avnet.com/en-us/design/drc/pages/supportanddownloads.aspx?RelatedId=223)

I assume you have already registered on 4DSP forum and we have already exchanged some communication there so I believe we shall continue there if the case is not resolved.

I also have to say that any soldering done on the PCB will waive FMC150 warranty and this is why 4DSP prefers to take care of such modifications. As you have emitted the desire of receiving an AC coupled version on the forum, you might want to order an AC coupled FMC150 with filter bypassed.

    With my best regards,

  • Hi Arnaud, I'm using 4DSP and KC705 board and want to trace some pins on the FMC connector but the link you posted for the schematics does not work.

Can you send me a direct link if possible.

  • Dear Pete,

The schematics are available on the internet, so I am attaching them to this post.

You might want to register on the 4DSP forum (www.4dsp.com/forum) as this is where 4DSP is providing technical support for both 4DSP and Avnet customers.
