Hi,

I need some information about the ADS5294 GUI (http://www.ti.com/tool/ads5294evm). I'm making a hardware prototype with the ADS5294 converter and, for the first tests, I want to use the EVM free software available to download from the Texas Instruments website. I want to know if the chip FT245RL that handles the USB port needs some previous configuration and, in afirmative case, if I could have access to this configuration.

Hi Nacho,

The installer for ADS5294 GUI includes the drivers needed to communicate with the FT245RL device. The device itself is pre-configured with a device ID so the software knows what EVM is connected. This is done on all EVMs prior to stocking in our e-store. Please click on the following link to download the FTDI configuration that is loaded as well as the freeware from FTDI for writing to the PROM.
