DAC1282: About spi control

Part Number: DAC1282

Hi,I am using DAC1282A to do some test, but the dout of spi have no data. And i use the spi in the first time. Could you give me some reference verilog code or some spi control code? Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks very much!!!

  • Hi Tengfei,

Welcome to the TI E2E forums!

Unfortunately, we do not have any SPI example code specific to the DAC1282. However, most microcontrollers do have generic SPI communication example code that you could reference and modify to use with the DAC1282.

Which microcontroller are you trying to use? Perhaps I can help point you to example code that is specific to your microcontroller...

    Best regards,
    Chris
  • Hi Chris,

    Thanks for your reply!

Now i am using FPGA which is belong to intel cyclone v E,to control DAC1282 . Do you have some example verilog code?

    Best wishs,

    Teng fei

  • Hi Teng,

I don't have any example verilog code. Verilog programming is outside of my area of expertise.

Would it be possible for you to share an oscilloscope or logic analyzer screenshot of the SPI communication? Perhaps I could help with identifying the issue in the SPI communication that way.

    Best regards,
    Chris

  • Hi Chris,
I'm sorry to disturb you.Now i write a verilog code and it can work normally,I can write registers and read registers .I control switchs through writing 02h register, then i tested the voltage of the swoutn and swoutp, it was right.I writed 8'h04 to the register which address of 0h,but i can't measured any the sine wave .And i also writed 8'h00、8'h10,it had no reaction. I don't konw which step have question. Could you help me ?
    Thanks very much!
    Best wishes!
    Tengfei。
  • In addition,i'm using the DAC1282A,not DAC1282. Thanks.
  • Hi Tengfei,

Sorry, I've been out of the office the last couple of weeks. Have you many any progress on this issue in this time period?

Please let me know what your register settings are, and if you have a schematic of your circuit that you can share, that would also be very helpful!

    Thanks and best regards,
    Chris
