Hello Max,
We working on renewing our EVMs to an updated Windows 7/10 compatile software. We apologize for any difficulties during this transicition.
But, the EVM becoming obsolete does not reflect on the part status, the part is still active.
You may use the ADS8881EVMV2-PDK to evaluate the part. The two parts are pin to pin compatile, they are in fact art of the same product family, the main differences between the 2 are resolution and the sampling speed. The ADS8867 will very easily fall into place on the board, and you will be able to connect to the digital communications lines to the procressor you are using.
The software though will be more troublesome to coomunicate. I can put a ADS8867 on the ADS8881EVM on the bench to test out the software. It is designed to work for the higher 1MSPS sampling rate of the ADS8881, thus you will need to be aware of the software parameters entered to correctly evaluate the ADS8867 and not violate any timing requirements.
Regards, Cynthia
