DAC34SH84EVM: DLL of DAC34SH84 Software GUI

Hello,

I am trying to use the software described in this post to control the DAC34SH84EVM. However, when running the software I get the error code 12 "FT_EEPROM_WRITE_FAILED" when opening the USB port. I can run the regular software to connect to the board without any issues, but I have no luck using the SPI Utilities. Any help debugging this would be appreciated.

Hey Vinay,

Please see attached zip file for the DAC348x EVM SPI utilities. The instructions are in the powerpoint file. You will need Labview 2014 installed in order to open up the file. If needed, we can send you the executable version. Please note that we cannot provide further support regarding the Labview codes or software integration. Good luck.

Hello,

Unfortunately this gave the same results as before. Here is what I did to create the error:
1. Used the HSDC Pro to load data onto the TSW1400 that the DAC is connected to
2. Used the provided DAC348x_GUI to load initial settings onto the DAC
3. Closed the DAC GUI
4. Followed instructions on PowerPoint.
5. Got error message on the Open USB sub VI, the error code is the same, error 12.

One thing I noticed, on the PowerPoint it mentions needing the EVM drivers. I have two drivers, one is a USB serial converter and the other is a USB Serial Port. These are the drivers correct?
