AMC1204: AMC1204 interface with STM32F4 microcontroller

Part Number: AMC1204
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: AMC1210,

Please, advise how to integrate the chip with STM32F4 controller. Does it need in special bibliotec to be attached to main code?

  • Hello Vahe,

Thanks for your post and welcome to the forum!

The AMC1204 is an isolated modulator which means that it will produce a bitstream of 1's and 0's proportional to the input signal applied to the high side of the device. This bitstream is typically fed to a digital filter so that the 1's and 0's can be averaged, decimated, and converted to codes that correspond to the voltage level. Since the STM32F4 is not a Texas Instruments product I cannot offer support and I am not aware if it has a digital filter input. If it does not, you may want to look into a standalone digital filter product such as the AMC1210 that could interface with the STM32F4.
