Hi,

I'm trying to read data from the ADS78883 using SPI with an FPGA eval board. I power the ADS7883 with a standard DC supply while the FPGA board receives power from my PC via USB. Is this an issue in terms of ground? How should I connect the boards so that they have the same ground?

    Hello,
    Yes, this is an issue with the grounds. All the grounds should be connected together.
    Does the eval board the FPGA have a ground pin/test point that can be connected to the ADS7883 EVM? One wire connecting the two board grounds should close the loop.
