TSW1400EVM: Configuring DAC3282 for real output

Part Number: TSW1400EVM

Hi

I interfaced DAC3282EVM with TSW1400EVM.

Using HSDC Pro GUI  I was giving 100 MHz 1 tone real signal FROM TSW1400EVM to the DAC3282 EVM and the output frequency of the DAC is observed to be HALF OF THE SINGLE TONE FROM TSW1400(50MHz on both channels A&B)

So Is it possible that DAC 3282 is giving the IQ signals by default if so how to configure DAC3282 to  output real signal only

Somebody please help me.

Regards

T KRISH

  • Hi T Krish,

One of our device experts is looking into your issue, and will be back with you soon.

Can you please confirm what DAC Clock frequency and interpolation factor are being used? Can you please ensure that the clock frequency is correct in the"Data Rate (SPS)" field? Below is an example of how the signal should be created if using a 625MHz clock and no interpolation.

    Best Regards,

    Dan

  • Krish,

Make sure you have bits 0 and 1 set to "0" in address 0x00 and bits 3 and 4 set to "0" in address 0x01 to operate with real output data and no interpolation.

In HSDC Pro GUI, create the data as real, not complex if you are using the I/Q multitone generator.

What sample rate are you running the DAC at? What is the TSW3100 CLK DIV set to? Can you send screen shots from both GUI's with your settings?

    Regards,

    Jim

  • Hi T Krish,

Do you still require assistance with this issue? If not, I will close this post. Please open a new thread if assistance is still required.

  • HI

    Thank you for the response

I did 1x interpolation setting and the made sure that dac rate and the data rate same.

  • Krish,

Can you send your register settings?
