PSIEVM: Output signal ranges

Part Number: PSIEVM

For the PSIEVM is it able to output DC - non sinusoidal signals (i.e. 0 Hz ) ?

What is the smallest possible differential voltage Vpp the PSIEVM output ?

What is the resolution of the voltage Vpp the PSIEVM output ? i.e. what is the smallest step between possible outputs on the differential voltage outputs ? e.g. Can it out Vpp = 2.005 and then Vpp = 2.006 ? Can it output Vpp = 2.000021 and then Vpp = 2.000022. Can it do smaller differences in voltage outputs than this ?

  • Hello,

The PSI is able to output DC values. There are jumper configurations that need to be done to apply this. Within the GUI, in Output Mode, select from the dropdown DC. the Offset input voltage option will control the DC level.  You will need to BYPASS the filter but the GUI will also inform you of what jumper setting needed based on what modes are selected.

The smallest differential signal is 0Vpp as shown in Table 5 of the Users Guide

The DC resolution is 36 codes = 0.34mV

As for differential, I need to confirm this. But the GUI was made to limit the user to the performance of the board. Thus from looking at the GUI at the Amplitude input selection, when clicking the up arrow, the input increases by 0.1mV, this leads me to believe that the resolution is 0.1mV

    Regards
