DAC3484EVM: Maximum current requirements?

Hello,

My research group has a DAC3484EVM module that we are using for a testbench, and up to this point we have been using a shared (somewhat overpowered) PSU to power the data converters. We are considering purchasing a dedicated power supply for the project, so I’ve been searching for power consumption specifications for the data converter modules. Unfortunately, while the DAC3484 datasheets provide current requirement information, I’ve been unable to find anything for the DAC3484EVM’s requirements. If TI could provide specs for the DAC3484EVM input current requirement, it would be much appreciated.

Hi Randall,

The DAC3484 has various modes of settings and it is difficult to have one generic power consumption to cover all usage. We typically uses 5A rating power bricks (available at Digikey) to power the whole EVM. This should be sufficient for most of the test cases for the DAC3484.
