TSC2013-Q1: Auxiliary Measurement

Guru 29690 points
Part Number: TSC2013-Q1

Hi Team,

According to Figure 44 and 45, I believe Auxiliary Measurement can't be used during Touch is detected.
Is my understanding correct?

If the answer is yes, is there any way to disable Touch detection to enable AUX measurement?
My customer wants to enable AUX measurement regardless of the state of the touch panel.

Best Regards,
Yaita

  • Hello Yaita,

Based on the internal block diagram, the AUX pin will need to be selected to perform a measurement. You can select this using the Converter function bits in table 7 in the data sheet. Here you can select an AUX measurement.

  • Hi Aaron-san,

    Thank you for your reply.

Yes, my customer already set C3:C0=0101 or 1000 however Auxiliary Measurement couldn't be applied during touching to the panel.
I heard Status Register (8h) D11 was still "0" and AUX register wasn't changed in this case.
If he released the touch, auxiliary measurement can be achieved.

So he wants to know if there is any way to enable AUX measurement during touching to the panel.
My customer wants to enable AUX measurement regardless of the state of the touch panel.

    Best Regards,

  • Hello Yaita,

Are the X and Y drivers activated when the screen is touched? It may be that your customer code is activating the X and Y drivers when the screen is touched.

  • Hi Aaron-san,

    Thank you for your reply!
Could you let me know how to disable X and Y drivers of TSC2013-Q1?
Is it related to which TSMode is used?

    Best Regards,
    Yaita
