ADS1299: RDATA command timing

Part Number: ADS1299

Hi,

I have sent an SDATAC command and register reads/writes return expected results (SPI communication is working).

I have set the start pin high, and would like to use the RDATA command to update output registers and then read the 27 bytes. The problem is I am getting all zeros. Do I need to send the RDATA command at a specific time?

Regards

Stephen

  • Hi Stephen,

    Thanks for the post.

You need to issue the RDATA command after the nDRDY goes low to read the conversion result. Please refer to Figure 47 in the datasheet for the recommended way to use the RDATA command.

    Thanks
