I've been trying to get a TLV320AIC3256 codec to work under linux, but no luck.

I'm using the "tlv320aic3x" driver, under the assumption that I can substitute "x=256" here, but I start to wonder whether this is correct. Is it? Do I need another driver? If so which one?

Hi Mike,

The AIC3256 is a later generation device and has a much expanded register set compared to the AIC31, AIC33 and AIC310x that the open source tlv320aic3x.c is designed to support. Unfortunately, we have not so far been able to upstream the AIC3256 driver. Hi Hari,

For TLV320AIC3100 codec tlv320aic3x driver is not supporting.

entire register map is different.

Can you tell which driver need to use for kernel 3.4
