PCM5102A in 1.8V mode. What to do with the XSMT pin?

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: PCM5102A

Hello,

I'm planning to use the PCM5102A with DVDD = 1.8 V, but I don't know how to connect the XSMT pin.
Reading the datasheet of the PCM5102A there are the following conflicting statements:

www.ti.com/.../pcm5102a.pdf

  • In systems where XSMT is not required, it can be directly connected to AVDD
    • AVDD is always 3.3V, so XSMT would be 3.3V, keep that in mind
  • External Power Sense Undervoltage Protection Mode is supported only when DVDD = 3.3V.
    • so what do I do with the XSMT pin in case of DVDD = 1.8V?
  • The XSMT input pin voltage range is from –0.3 V to DVDD+0.3 V
    • this conflicts with the first statement for (DVDD = 1.8 V)
  • When the XSMT pin level reaches 2 V, soft mute process begins.
    • this conflicts with the previous statement for (DVDD = 1.8 V); it would always mute the output

I guess, I have to connect XSFT to ground or DVDD, but the datasheet doesn't mention anything about what to do with this pin in case of DVDD = 1.8 V and I cannot test it for now.
Can you help me, please?

Thank you in advance!
