DDC264EVM: DDC 264 evm 20 bit ADC interfacing problem

Part Number: DDC264EVM
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DDC264, , DDC114, DDC112

Hello My name is itay

I'm having trouble programming in Labview the DDC 264 EVM using the USB_IO_for_VB6.dll.

I followed the "USB_IO_for_VB6.dll" user guide which aims to VB and labview programming language.

The only thing i can achieve with labview is reading the data after configuring the registers using your designated program.

It looks as i don't configure correctly the FPGA and the DDC registers in labview.

Could you please help me on that.

Thanks in advance

Itay

  • Hi Itay,

Have you verified the configuration register readback from the device through LabVIEW?
Please refer to section 8.5.2 in the DDC264 datasheet for details.
  • Hello Praveen,
I actually succeed in writing a labview program that operates the DDC264EVM board. It writes to the FPGA and takes data...excellent!
The problem right now is that i'm limited with "the integeration time" (Conv parameter) to 65536.
I need a much larger (3 order of magnitude) integration time.
I know that using the DDC114 software with the DDC264EVM board, i actually can achieve such a long integration time but it uses a different dll (although the same name "USB_IO_for_VB6") but i'm having trouble to communicate using labview.
Do you have a user guide for that DLL functions?
    Thanks
    Itay
  • Hi Itay,

I apologize for the delay in my response.
DDC114EVM's DLL was built for Visual Basic environment and unfortunately, we do not have the user guide for the DLL functions for LabVIEW.
You could follow the link from NI on implementing dll in LabVIEW.

  • Hello,
On one of the previous question on the forum you(or your colleague)shared with us the VB code of the "Take Data" action.
Could you please share the VB code when i pressing the Write button on the DDC112/114.
    Thanks
    Itay
  • Hello Itay,

We do not have access to the original documents anymore as it was done long ago and the creators are not around... Please note that the user guide for the DLL is provided as is, and additional support is limited.

We wish we could help you more but we currently do not have the bandwidth to support this issue any further.
