TSW1400EVM: labview file not found error

Part Number: TSW1400EVM

I'm currently running TSW1400EVM with AFE5832EVM, and trying HSDC pro gui program.

It succeeds in downloading firmware. But while launching the AFE5832GUI, it shows the error like blow

Error 7

Error 7 occurred at Call Library Function Node in HSDC Pro Version Check.vi->HMC-DAQ GUI Pro.lvlib:Main.vi

Possible Reason(s):

LabVIEW: File not Found. The file might be in a different location or deleted. Use the command prompt or the file eplorer to verify that the path is correct.

Solely launching AFE5832EVM GUI without HSDC program does not show this error.

And I've confirmed that some national instrument software (maybe LabVIEW Run Engine) has been installed during the hsdc installation process.

What do you think is the problem?

  • Hi Gibbeum,

We will look in to the GUI error and get back to you as soon as possible.
Can you let us know about the Windows operating system of your machine?
  • It's windows 10.
    Thank you.
  • There was no issue like this at the windows 7 laptop. Additionally, I continued to capture the signal ignoring the error message, and it actually succeeds in capturing the data (yet not accurate, maybe because of hardware jumper pin setting error). But I'm not sure I can ignore this error message. As I'll ultimately use the automation version of it (DLL), I wonder if there will be any issue about it.
I found out that the exactly same error message usually comes out from LabVIEW software, and I guess the connection between LabVIEW software and HSDC Pro might go wrong in this case.
    Please keep figuring this out.
    Thank you.
  • Hi Gibbeum,

This issue seems to be due to the way that Microsoft has changed the way that registry access is provided in the recent WIN 10 builds .
Please refer the link for more details.

We will be fixing this and releasing a new version soon.

As a temporary fix, can you copy and paste the HSDC_Version.dll in the below location and proceed for now.

    From : "C:\Program Files (x86)\Texas Instruments\High Speed Data Converter Pro\HSDC_Version.dll"
    To: "C:\Program Files\Texas Instruments\High Speed Data Converter Pro\HSDC_Version.dll"
  • Oh, it has fixed my issue. Thank you very much.
Please develop the next version to be compatible with AFE5832EVM because I'm using this board, and I saw the message that AFE5832EVM is not fully compatible with HSDC pro 4.90, so some functions might not work. The version I'm currently using is 4.70.
    Thank you again.
