ADS1256: ADS1256 INTERFACE

Part Number: ADS1256

Hi,

I am using ADS1256, ADC for one of my application. I am not clear how to interface this ADC with our controller.

Attached the image of schematics, kindly please let me know if any changes required.

Hi Preethi,

Probably not required, but I would make the following recommendations regarding the schematic...

Add decoupling capacitor(s) to DVDD.
Connect AVSS and DGND pins together directly with minimum trace length in between, preferably without the 0Ohm resistor.
You could add a filtering capacitor to VCC_2V5 to reduce the noise on AINCOM.

I would also recommend enabling the ADS1256's internal buffer to avoid additional gain errors resulting from the input filtering resistors and the low input impedance of the delta-sigma modulator.
