Respected Sir/ Madam

i am using CCS V  4.2.2.00033 and i am using BlackHawk's USB 560-M JTAg for programming my centaurus board(TMDXEVM8148 ALP/BTA). It is connecting to cortex A8 and programming the target device but when i run the my program, i am getting the follow error repeatedly:

Invalid CIO command (38) in the CIO buffer at address (0x800ded88) was not recognized. Please check the device and program memory maps.

Invalid CIO command (38) in the CIO buffer at address (0x800ded88) was not recognized. Please check the device and program memory maps.

...repeat "Invalid CIO command (38)...

when i use different JTAG(Spectrum digital XDS 510), my program run as it should be.So why 560-M was not able to program my device correctly. did i miss anything or i have configure JTAG, if yes then how can i do it?

i am attaching the GEL files i used for USB 560-M and XDS 510

  • Hello,

I recall a similar issue that happened on one of the earlier 4.2 builds which was caused by a bug with the TI ARM cortex driver. Blackhawk uses our drivers while Spectrum Digital has their own drivers so it makes sense that you did not see an issue when using SD. The bug has since been fixed so I suggest updating to the latest CCSv4 version (v4.2.5) and see if the fix applies to your issue.

    Thanks

    ki
