Error message : C64XP_0: Error connecting to the target: Connect to PRSC failed

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMS320C6457

Dear all,

I got error message as title. First, it occurred randomly, but recently, it became harder to connect.

I have searched through the forums and haven't found any completed solutions. I am running CCS 5.1 with XDS100V2 and Windows 7 on TMS320C6457.

Is there any thing else I have to set under debug mode? I have already check the  "General IDE" guide and " Debugger troubleshooting" guide.

But it still can't help me solve this problem.

Could someone help me?

Thanks

Eric

  • I too am experiencing the same thing. I have CCS 4.2.5 with XDS100V2   Win7 on TMS3206745.  Everything worked fine until I changed my code generations tool (in the drop down box found from right-click on project and selecting properties) to 6.1.20 from 6.1.19.  When it didn't work I quickly decided to go back to 6.1.19, but this option was not available anymore.  Weird. So I tired others 6.1.12, 7.2.9.  They all give me this "Error connecting to the Target" and it has plenty of voltage which is not being interrupted. I went back to an earlier version of code -- same problem. It's not the code, not the power. Has to be Code Composer.

  • Eric,  This is what worked for me.

Go to device manager under USB.

    Uninstall XDS100V2 channel A and Channel B.

Disconnect the XDS100v2 emulator from the USB.

Connect the XDS100v2 emulator back to the USB and let windows re-install the drivers.

    Reboot the computer.

  • Hi jamp!

I have the same problem troubles me for several days.

We made some boards as the same as another one using C6747 as the core, and using XDS100V2 as debugger. After correcting power, reset signal problems, we still have the problem of connect to PRSC failed, and I cannot figure it out what's happened..But the board we copy from works good without changing any configuration and the drivers re-install is not needed.
