CCS v4 Freezes During Debugging

Hello,

I am using CCS 4.2.4.00033. My target boards are Spectrum Digital OMAP-L137 Starter Kit EVM and a custom board. I am using onboard emulator of EVM and Blackhawk USB560BP and USB560M for custom board. For all three emulators, I encounter a "blue screen" problem during debugging. When I press stop debugging (red one) buton, sometimes Windows (Win 7 32 bit) shows a blue screen and reboots. When that problem occurs, sometimes workspace become corrupted. When I open CCS after rebooting, I can't open any project on that workspace. I import my existing project to open it. Once, CCS deleted one of the source (.c) file. Indeed, it didn't delete, changed all codes with 0x00 (NUL character).  I had a 9 KB .c file filled with 0x00 characters. I spent half a day to rewrite codes.

Could you offer any suggestion to my problem?

    If you can, move to CCS5. With CCS4 connected to a C2000 via XDS100, I was seeing the "blue screen of death" very regularly, sometimes daily, one time 3 times in a day. Since installing CCS5, I have not had a single occurrance of failure over the past week and a half. I am doing things that would have normally caused problems, like recompiling without terminating, just to see if I could cause CCS5 to fail the same way CCS4 was failing.

    Hello Todd,

    Thanks for your suggestion. Mybe, I can move to CCS5 in next month. Finding a solution for CCSv4 will be very good. I will inform about result if I move to CCSv5.
