CCS5 (free licence) Enable Silicon real time mode and Enable Polite real time mode are greyed out

 I am using MSP 430G2551 launchpad and CCSV5. I want to use enable real-time mode to  monitor the watch variables as they are changing. I am in CCS debug perspective but the icon is greyed out.How to solve the problem? I have checked RTSC-product and found GRACE,SYS/BIOS and XDC tools. Which version of MCSDK do I have to install?

    Hi Xing,

    different msps support different features.  I do not believe the G2551 supports SYS/BIOS as it is a simple value line part.  Have a look at this related post and please keep us informed.

    Hi Xing,

    same story, value line parts/the launchpad do not support SYS/BIOS or trace or some of the more advance debug and breakpoint tools etc.  I recommend check this, the post I sent and some of the msp430 documentation.

    Hi Lisa,

    Do you mean I can not use the launchpad to do real time monitor? I do not understand why you mention SYS/BIOS, does it matter? 

    If I want to do real time monitor of the variables in a graph or transport the variables  to another software like matlab in a real time way, how to do this with launchpad?
