Unable to connect XDS510 in CCS3.3

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMS320F28335

Hi,

I am unable to connect to target (TMS320F28335) using XDS510 in CCS3.3 whereas I am able to connect in CCS5.2.

When I try to connect in CCS3.3 I am getting following error.

"Error connecting to the target: Error 0x80000200/-1047 Fatal Error during: OCS, PTI_ERR_EMU_CLOSE Error Occured at 0x00000000 I/O Port = 240 Board Name: F28335 XDS510 Emulator Cpu Name: CPU_1 Abort: Close Code Composer Studio. Retry: Try to connect to the target again. Cancel: Remain disconnected from the target Diagnostic: Run diagnostic utility."

I am using CCS3.3.82.10, Integrated Devlopment : 5.98.0.393, BIOS: 5.33.06, Code Generation Tools: V6.1.0

Thanks & Regards,

Bhanu Prakash Villuri

Are you using the XDS510 ISA emulator? This emulator is not supported with CCSv5.x

    Thanks

  • I reread your question and I see that you are working in v5.3 but not 3.3. That tells me that you are not using the TI XDS510 ISA emulator. I am guessing you are using the XDS510USB or something similar.

This configuration you selected for CCSv3.3 is for the TI XDS510 ISA emulator. You need to select the correct one. If it is a USB emulator, you need to select the one for USB.

NOTE that CCSv3.3 does NOT come with 3rd party emulation drives like CCSv5 did for Spectrum Digital and Blackhawk. You need to make sure you download the v3 drivers for your emulator from the vendor's page.

    Thanks
