CCS v5.3 and SD XDS510USB compatibility with DM6437 on Win7(64bit)

We just upgraded to CCS v5.3 from v5.2.  Our debug config uses a Spectrum Digital XDS510USB emulator and a DM6437 processor target.  The emulator is a Spectrum Digital XDS510USB.  PC O/S is Windows 7 Pro (64-bit). Prior to the upgrade, everything was fine, but we now get the message:

"Error Detected in Registration with RTDX.  Aborting RTDX Registration.  RTDX is disabled for this session.  Contact your emulator vendor and use CCSetup to select a different one."

Is this a driver compatibility issue?  I am not aware of another source for the SD drivers for CCS v5.

    Hi,

    Did anything change in the code between the two releases? The reason of my question is because RTDX is usually unrelated to the emulation technology itself.

    Also, if you have a DM6437 EVM board are you able to reproduce this using either its built-in emulator or the external XDS510?

    Another detail: are you re-building your project in v5.3 before loading it to the board? Differences in the target software versions included with 5.3 may cause this - in this case I would try to load a v5.2 pre-compiled .out file using v5.3.

    These questions are simply targeted to narrow down the possible culprits for this issue.

    Hi!

    When CCSv5.2 attempt was operating normally. And when attempts DM6437EVM Board, the same phenomenon was reproducible. In CCSv5.2, everything is normal behavior, but this phenomenon appears after the upgrade to the 5.3 version.

    Just something else, when I CCSv5.3 install, select all of the options. If I select everything from the installation options of the options, any problems or conflict occurs between each other?

    Hi,

    I tried to reproduce this here without success; I created an example BIOS5 project (stairstep) for my EVMDM6437 and opened several RTA views (and it is actually updating the graphs in real time) – check the screen attached.

    I am using CCSv5.3.0.00090 with TI emupack 5.0.946.0, Spectrum Digital 5.2.0.06 (check in the menu Help --> About Code Composer --> Installation Details). You may need to update CCS to these versions above (menu Help --> Check for Updates).

    Another reference is this other discussion, where some people had the same trouble and managed to find the same solution.
