TMS320C6713 problem on CCS

greetings.
i am doing my final year project on 'speech recognition system' based on dsp tms320c6713 processor. however, we have been stuck for quite some time on our dsp processor as we are not able to get even a simple output for a sine wave generation from the processor.
the IDE is CCS. we have done a simple program of taking the input from function generator and obtaining it on CRO via our processor but in spite of no errors in the programming we have been unable to obtain the output. even a few examples from rulph chassing have not yielded any satisfactory results evn though we have followed all that in mentioned.

firstly, thanks a lot for the forum links.

they were beneficial...

although the problem is that i'm working on CCS 3.1 based on windows xp and the problem is that there are no problems when i compile the program. the errors are not present but still the program doesn't run after loading the .out file to the processor.

so what do you think i'm missing?

kindly guide on that.

I got that from your first post, thanks. Given the version of CCS and the nature of the problem (a runtime error), one of the best references is the training page in the first forum thread sent above. More specifically, the TMS320C6x1x DSP Integration workshop at:

The main reason is because this workshop implements a sinewave generator using the DSK6713 using CCSv3.1 - in this case I think you will save a lot of time if you follow the workshop labs and see how the configuration of the hardware, buffer management, DMA, serial port, etc is performed.

If you still have any questions regarding the initialization, I strongly suggest checking the C67x device forum as the experts there are more knowledgeable about the device itself and its initialization routines.
