Code Composer Studio V5. Linux devlopment AM335x.

We have just purchased this software packet, but I am very confused what this software offers.

Both CCS and ti-sdk-am335x-evm-05.06.00.00-linux-x86-install is installed under Ububtu 12.04 LTE.

I can compile the Linux target, but now my problems starts.

I did not expect that the Linux kernel could be compiled under windows.

I did expect that the CCS could compile my Linux Application under Windows. I did ask Arrow in denmark, whether this was possible and they did reply positive.

But I cannot see how to setup the environment under windows, and did also expect that the CCS did setup all relevant settings for crosscompiling etc.

I have same problem with CCS under Unbuntu, unless CCS only can run with MakeFiles, which complicates the process.

If I compare CCS with the eclipse environment from DIGI, which handles all Linux modules inside the Eclipse, then the benefits I get from CCS are every low.

Maybe I am doing something wrong.

Best Regards
