can't find the file "args_main.c"

Hello,

I'm using code composer v5.4 with a XDS510 USB PLUS and a DSP TMS320 28335 and when i want to debug, it works but an error appears:

"can't find a source file at "/db/sds12/scratch/tsuch_rtsbuild_dflcmp0203.dal.design.ti.com_21518_linux/ank_rts/SHARED/args_main.c"

Locate the file or edit the source lookup path to include its location."

I don't understand what this file represents and where i could find it...

Could i ignore this error?

Hi,

As long as you're able to debug and run the code on the kit, you can ignore these warnings. I too experience with lot of such warnings, but they've never interfered with my debugger. I tried tracing these errors but no luck!

Hi Elodie,

as Gautam mentioned, you can safely ignore this. I believe this message simply means you are halted in a function that is part of the run time library.

So no worries! This is quite a common question.

I encountered an almost similar issue where a file can't be found.
Can't find a source file at "/ephemeral/jenkins/workspace/DSP_Build_Nyq_Shared_FB1508/DSP_trunk/C_Platform/DSPHWAPI/Services/SwDrivers/src/IdleMeterApi.c"
Locate the file or edit the source lookup path to include its location.

I performed function profiling (Tools -> HW trace analyzer -> function profiling), but nothing happens.
Function Profiler and Trace Viewer is empty :(

Expected result is like the one after step # 8 on this link: processors.wiki.ti.com/.../XDS_Pro_Trace
8) Start trace analyzer (Tools->Trace Analyzer) and run application
