Failed to open any default TCP port

Hello,

I installed code composer license server and when I run lmgrd then lmutil, I have the following result:

root@mycomputer:~# /opt/code_composer_license_server/bin/lmutil lmstat -a

How can i change the port settings and how can i outhorized to open a port on my system?

Please check this thread that talks about specifying ports for the server. To open them on the Linux firewall, please refer to Ubuntu's documentation - most probably you are running iptables.

Thanks for the quick answer, I have now this message:

18:36:19 (lmgrd) Failed to open the TCP port number in the license.

All my iptables are in accepted mode. Moreover, I think iptables does not forbid to open listen port, it forbid to communicate with.

Given these issues you are having are related to both Ubuntu and the FlexLM license manager, usually the internet gives good hints.

Something that may be missing is the localhost entry on the hosts file or other things (here and here).

Hello,

I am looking at those pages and changed my license file in order lmgrd can start.

The line to modify is the second line, replace :

#Please Do not delete this comment line.
SERVER this_host <mac_address>

With:

#Please Do not delete this comment line.
SERVER localhost <mac_address>

and add in /etc/hosts the following line if not present:

127.0.0.1 localhost

Is someone from TI can add it in the following wiki page to add the exact modification to do?
