Could anyone help me with this?
I cannot get CCSv5.5 to install,
I've tried disabling anti-virus software and ran it under administrative privileges and yet each time a window pops up saying 'Failed to install Eclipse. Cannot recover from this error.'
Here is the installation log: 5545.ccs_update_5.5.0.00077_install.log
Thanks!
Hi Kaiwen,
are you updating or doing a fresh installation? I would suggest cleaning out the old installation and starting fresh with the full v5.5 installer. Also be sure to disable antivirus once again etc.
Best Regards
Lisa
I did have CCSv5.2 on my laptop before, but I just uninstalled and cleared all of it.
Then I tried to do a fresh installation of v5.5 and this popped up:
Installation log: 6014.ccs_setup_5.5.0.00077_install.log
Any ideas what's causing this?
Thanks,
Kaiwen

Kaiwen,
Can you confirm that you have extracted the offline package from the zip file?
Please make sure install in a clean directory.
Danish
Hi Danish
I have extracted the offline package from the zip file to C:\Users\Kaiwen\Downloads
and tried to install it under C:\ti
and the same error keeps coming up.
Each time I try to install, I delete the previous C:\ti and InstallJammer directories.
Kaiwen.
Hi Igor,
Thanks for the thread but it still ends up with the same error - Eclipse failing to install.
I've tried:
installing in safe mode
changing my Nvidia graphics settings
disabling firewall and anti virus
running as Administrator
installing from another User account
Kaiwen
Hi, Kaiwen.
Sorrowfully. I think this is the last thing that I can offer (running setup in XP compatibility mode, sometimes this helps)

Kaiwen,
You seem to have _JAVA_OPTIONS set in your environment and it's causing issues with the eclipse installation. Can you unset it and give it another try? Clean directory folder. If you get another error, please send the logs again.
I know it's taking a little time, but we'll get you sorted out.
Danish
