EK-TM4C123GXL Project0 stalled... 'could not open source file "stdint.h" '

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SW-EK-TM4C123GXL, TM4C123GH6PM

AartiG's post on Jan 28th detailing how to add paths to include files was the fix for this issue. I did a search for the missing '.h' files in the c:\ti folder, and included the paths as instructed in AartiG's post and the 'could not open' errors went away.

Original post:

I loaded CCS 5.5.0.00077 tonight from a downloaded copy of EK-TM4C123GXL-CCS-781, check

I loaded the Tivaware from http://www.ti.com/tool/sw-ek-tm4c123gxl, check

A check of device manager shows that the ICDI drivers all seem to be loaded, check

One can get enough info to navigate to and load the example projects for the TM4C123 Launchpad from wiki materials built for the stellaris boards http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/Talk:Tiva_TM4C123G_LaunchPad_Blink_the_RGB... ok, a little rough around the edges but it'll do

let's see, hitting the build button yields an error, but a few moments wading through the menus you find how to reset the target processor to the TM4C123GH6PM - I see, left as an exercise for the student, confidence builder and all that.

Oh no, project build hits the wall 'could not open source file "stdint.h"  ' what the ?!

any assistance is greatly appreciated.

  • Hi Mitch,

I don't have CCS. I have project0 example program for Keil Uvision and have compiled it without errors. I have stdint.h at this location C:\Keil\ARM\ARMCC\include\stdint.h.

Do you have stdint.h at your CCS folders?

  • I had installed an incorrect version of Tivaware. When I backed up and started over with this link http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/Getting_Started_with_the_TIVA%E2%84%A2_C-Series_TM4C123G_LaunchPad?DCMP=tivac&HQS=TM4C123G-Launchpad-Workshop#Introduction i was able to get out of the ditch and back on the road. This is the best documented dev board I've ever used which is amazing given the cost is only $12.95.
