Error connecting to the target

When I am trying to connect the Blackhawk USB560V2 system trace emulator to DM6435 I got the follow error:

"IcePick_C_0: Error connecting to the target: (Error -1265 @ 0x0) Device ID is not recognized or is not supported by driver. Confirm device and emulator configuration is correct, or update device driver. (Emulation package 5.1.402.0)"

CCS version 5.5.0.00077.

Target Configuration setting:

Connection: Blackhawk XDS560v2-USB System Trace Emulator

Board or Device: TMS320DM6435

DM6435 is in the devices list that USB560V2 supports.

Any idea what could be the problem?

Hi,

First of all please run a "Test Connection" in target configuration menu. Do paste the results. Also, please check the health of your board esp. the voltage levels. Check for any overheating components on the board.

Thanks for the response. Found the problem. Besides the DM6435 there is another device on the jtag chain. Adding "Bypaass CPU" to the Target Configuration fixed the problem.
