Just downloaded and installed CCS v6. Everything works just fine except the interaction with the XDS510USB emulator from Spectrum Digital. I installed the device drivers into the CCS installation directory (D:\TI\specdig) and everything appears to be there.
However, CCS v6 doesn't find, or recognize, the items in the directory. Import doesn't do anything. So, I'm at a standstill. How do I connect/ re-establish the XDC510USB to CCS v6?
Note; this was included with CCS v5, and it all worked.
Hi Timothy,
Did you enable the option to install the SD drivers during installation of CCS? It is not enabled by default in v6 (while it was enabled by default in v5.

Thank you. No, evidently I didn't. I've gone back through the installer and found the option to install the Spectrum Digital Emulators and Boards. Thank you.
Hi, Ki-Soo Lee
Does CCS v.6 supports other (not SD) XDS510 JTAG emulators?
Thanks,
Roman

Yes. Blackhawk XDS510 emulators are also supported with the CCSv6 installer.
Spectrum Digital and Blackhawk drivers come bundled with the CCS installer. For other emulator vendors, you will need to check their website for drivers and if they support CCSv6.

This is the screenshot from the create project form.
I just realized that the AM5728 processor I am using is not supported by XDS510USB. So this is explain why it's not visibile.
Infact when creating a project for another processor the XDS510USB is present.
Do you think that XDS510USB will be supported for AM5728 or I have to buy another JTAG emulator?
Thanks for your support.

Marco
Marco,
Since the XDS510 technology is being phased out in favor of more modern architectures, XDS510USB will not support the AM57x family of devices. Sorry.
