stdout tab in output window is missing...

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CCSTUDIO

The stdout tab in the output window is missing. Somebody pls help me out with this one....

  • The stdout tab will not appear until after stdout is send to the console. If you are using stdout calls and the stdout tab is still does not appear, then the stdout calls are not sending any messages to the console. You may want to to check the heap size as Mariana suggested in another post:

    Thanks

    the problem is solved....

Initially, I didn't enable dynamic memory heaps...after enabling them, it appeared...

  • I'm having the same problem and the link in the post above does not work. Can someone provide an answer or a working link?

This is a project (a .pjt file) that is working fine in another machine. To my knowledge all the relevant files, including .cmd and .pjt files, are identical.

I would use the documentation, but for some reason the windows help file that came with my CCS is broken too. The stdout index entry points to page "Interpreter Example"...

I have to say that at this point in my current project, I have wasted more time with CCS problems than doing actual work. You may want to do something about your software quality control, dudes. CCS is lousy. Your support is great, though.

P.S. you may want to take a look at your forum software too, this broken link problem is very frequent.

    Thanks!

  • My stdout tab is also missing. I am using the DM6437 board and CCStudio v3.3. I cannot find a way to enable the dynamic heap and the link is broken.

    Help would be greatly appreciated.

  • Hi,

If you are using DSP/BIOS configuration file, you have to untick "No Dynamic Heap Memory" by right clicking Memory section manager and adding the generated .cmd file into your project. If you are not using .tcf file, add .heap entry into your custom cmd file.

    All the best.

  • Hi

I am also getting the same issue that is stdout tab is not opening.and I don't get what " lack of heap space on the target. " means. I searched for it but couldn't find proper solution. The forum
http://e2e.ti.com/forums/t/9021.aspx is also closed. Kindly help me  with this.

    Thankyou
