Multiple MCSDK in the RTSC products

Hi Support Team,

I am using CCS 5.5.0.00077 , i am trying to use two MCSDK in the RTSC products. I have installed mcsdk_2_01_02_06 and mcsdk_bios_3_00_04_18. when i am trying to link MCSDK in the RTSC project CCS can only discover only one MCSDK(mcsdk_bios_3_00_04_18). Can you please let me know how can i use  multiple MCSDK in the RTSC project.

Kind Regards,

Nitish

  • Nitish,

Are you looking to have both versions included in your project?  If so that is not possible.  You can only have 1 version of a RTSC product included in a project.

If you just want to switch the version of the MCSDK that the project is using but it is not letting you select the other version then you can try adjusting your RTSC discovery path.  Go to Window -> Preferences and then in the screen below you can edit the discovery path.

    Regards,

  • Thanks John for the reply. Yes i know that only 1 version of the RTSC product can be included in a project. I want to switch the different version of the MCSDK in selection of the RTSC product, but only one MCSDK is visible as shown above. I tried the approach as suggested by you but it did not work.  MCSDK is having that issue, whereas other products have option to switch. Looking forward towards your reply.

  • Nitish,

I did some asking around and this is a limitation of the way the MCSDK is put together.  It only supports 1 version being installed.

Unfortunately if you need to use 2 different versions the only workaround I can think of is to have 2 separate installs of CCS and configure 1 for each version.  Would that work for you?

I will forward the thread on to the MCSDK team.

    John

  • Thank you John for the quick response.  For initial development purposes, this workaround  i can manage. Thanks

  • Great.  One of our guys is looking to see if we can manually tweak something in MCSDK to work around this.  If that works out we will reply back to the thread with the info.
