Why do I get so many CCS errors?

Hi,

I wanted to try MSP430FR2633 CapTIvate examples. I couldn't import them because of a known java.lang.NULL exception. Some time ago this was solved by installing the latest emulator pack.

This time, it has not solved the issue, so my guess was maybe my installation was corrupt.

Then, I have tried to uninstall the emulators and try to install them again and that's my result.

This repository error is here from several years now. This is not the first or the second or the third time I have seen these errors in my computer. Practically everyone is suffering from CCS errors. They are numerous and different I have to show some CapTIvate related stuff on friday and I cannot trust the IDE anymore.

Same thing happened with SimpleLink CC2650 and we all know the issues with TI Resource Explorer, App Center blank screens...

If there is some workaround on this, please let me know. If not, I will uninstall and reinstall CCS, but being forced to do this every time I want to try a new TI product is not the way to go.

Have a nice day.

  • Hi
Can you try #5 (Updates fail with "No repository found" or "Connection reset" errors) in the Troubleshooting Guide for Updating Features?

    Thanks

  • Hi Ki-Soo Lee,

yes, to be fair, I think I tried this some time ago and it worked.

Probably because I was in a rush this morning it has not come to my mind.

I will try next time. Today I have simply removed all CCS and reinstalled needed parts but I'm keeping this bookmark.

Maybe CCS could catch this error and propose this workaround on-the-fly or even re-try by warning the user it is going to perform such deletion.

Have a really nice day and thanks for your concerns :)
