Documentation for licensing of CCS 6.2.0 under Linux 64-bit?

The CCS 6.2.0 release notes contains a link to http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/Activating_CCSv6 for license activation. The referenced Wiki page says to check the state of license to ether check the CCS status bar, or use Help->Code Composer Studio Licencing Information.

However, in CCS 6.2.0.00048 under Linux 64-bit (CentOS 7):

- The CCS status bar is no longer displays the state of license.

- The Help->Code Composer Studio Licencing Information menu option is no longer present.

Having installed CCS 6.2.0.00048 under Linux 64-bit I didn't have to specify a license file, and was able to use a Blackhawk USB-560M emulator (which previously required a full CCS license). There was a node-locked license file in the install path, so did CCS 6.2.0.00048 automatically find and use the license file?

The thread https://e2e.ti.com/support/development_tools/code_composer_studio/f/81/p/540462/1969772#1969772 says that 64-bit version has a different licensing implementation, but is there any documentation for how to check the state of the license?
