When using CCS 7.0.0.00022 with SEGGER J-Link 6.10.0.g and SEGGER J-Link USB Driver 1.0.0.6 under Windows 7 can start a debug session for a MSP432 device and step using a Segger J-Link. However, there is some functionality missing in that:

Is it planned to add Hardware Trace Analyzer and Watchpoint support for the Segger J-Link under CCS 7?

For watchpoints you need to use the J-Link control panel to set them. It should be accessible from your system tray. This is the way it worked in CCSv6 I don't have a J-Link with me at the moment to try in CCSv7 but it should work the same way.

As far as Trace this is not supported using J-Link. There are no set plans to enable these features at this time. A lot of it will depend on usage. If Segger sees a lot of usage within CCS then it will make sense to spend the effort to enable more capabilities.

Thank for the information. I see the reason for needing to use the J-Link control panel is described on the http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/J-Link_Emulator_Support#Limitations Wiki page.
