CCS/ENERGYTRACE: Obtain the values from .proxml save file

Part Number: ENERGYTRACE

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

Hello,

I am using energy trace to measure the energy spent on transmissions and receptions of my board.

I would like to use the save file to calculate the integral of a reception so i can measure the power consumption but i cannot understand the file format, is there any way to export it to a .csv or other type?

Any suggestions are appreciated

PS: this is my graph http://imgur.com/9TjuAma on the left there is a packet reception and on the right there is a transmission, i would like to be able to calculate the energy of the reception.

  • Hi,

In EnergyTrace preferences, there is an item for save raw data to CSV file, go to menu Window --> Preferences and navigate to:

If you have this option checked, you will have a CSV file saved in parallel to profxml.

    Hope this helps,

    Rafael
