CCS/UNIFLASH: ARM Architecture UniFlash or Equivalent

Part Number: UNIFLASH
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CC1350

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

Hello,

I know most tools like CCS and uniflash are all made for x86.

However, we are designing an expansion module with the Ti CC1350 chip on it that will connect to our ARM Architecture Single Board Computer which runs Ubuntu / Linux.

We wanted the ability to flash binary .out or .hex files onto the CC1350 via a XDS110 from the ARM SBC.

Is the source code for uniflash available to where it can be compiled to run on the ARM architecture? ( rather than the x86)

Has this been done before?

We need to figure this out before moving forward and have alternative ideas if this absolutely just isn't supported or possible.

Thank you in advance,

Ryan

  • Ryan,

Unfortunately we don't have an ARM port of UniFlash. In this case the port would need to include the XDS110 stack as well. It is possible that the CC1350 team might have another solution for programming the flash from an embedded processor. I could move this thread to that forum but it might get missed so the best thing to do would be to post another thread and select that forum. Sorry I couldn't provide more help.

    Regards,
    John
