CCS/AM4384: Unable to switch disassembly style on CCS v7

Hi,

I am unable to switch the disassembly style in my CCS v7 to Thumb mode. The execution status correctly shows the processor instruction mode as Thumb. My machine is a 64-bit, Linux (Ubuntu).

I have applied all the available updates and yet the problem still exists.

Is this a known problem and is there a patch to fix this issue?

Unfortunately this is a known issue in CCSv7.x releases in Linux that will be fixed in the upcoming CCSv7.3.0. Please check the bug number CCSIDE-3113 in the link SDOWP in my signature below for details and for a workaround.

May I make a further suggestion?
Can there be an option added so the displayed disassembly style is switched automatically to match the current processor mode as displayed in the bottom status bar?

That is the default behaviour of the Disassembly View.

CCSv7.3.0 was released yesterday and it fixes this bug. Please give this version a try.
