CCS/CC3220: SWO trace enablement

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

It seems, CC32xx trace support (M4 based device) is not enabled in CCS6/7. What, needs to be done to enable trace support similar to MSP432?

When, i do "Hardware Trace Analyzer" -> "Custom Core Trace". I get the error "The specified breakpoint type Trace does not exist on target".

    Hi,

    I am not aware the CC3220 devices have SWO support (I can't find a SWO pin function on its pinout), therefore I suspect you would need to perform a solution similar to what is described for the CC3200 in the post below:

    I will try to find additional details about this functionality and report back my findings.
