CCS/LAUNCHCC3220MODASF: CCS/LAUNCHCC3220MODASF

Part Number: LAUNCHCC3220MODASF

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

Hello,

I installed the CCS on my Windows 10 machine.

The installation was successful, despite an initial warning from the installer regarding the firewall running on my machine.

I cross-checked with my IT Admin guys, and then without disabling the firewall.

The installation of CCS succeeded.

After that I went for "Update" since software updates were available for CCS.

This update fails with the following error:

An error occurred while installing the items
session context was:(profile=epp.package.cpp, phase=org.eclipse.equinox.internal.p2.engine.phases.Install, operand=null --> [R]com.ti.cgt.c6000.8.1.win32_root 8.1.5, action=org.eclipse.equinox.internal.p2.touchpoint.natives.actions.ChmodAction).
The action chmod failed - file c:\ti\ccsv7\eclipse\downloads\ccs_update_5.5.0.00092.exe does not exist

Q1. What should I do to finish the update?

Q2. The quick start guide "file:///C:/ti/simplelink_cc32xx_sdk_1_50_00_06/docs/simplelink_mcu_sdk/Quick_Start_Guide.html" also instructs one to update the service pack.  It also mentions the location of the service pack to be "<SDK_INSTALL_DIR>/tools/cc32xx_tools/servicepack-cc3x20".

But I couldn't gather from that link, how to go about this update of service pack?

Q3. Will service pack update automatically be taken care of if the CCS update mentioned in Q1. is successful?

Can you try clearing out the cache mentioned in step 5 of the below link?

This one is unrelated to CCS and best answered by the experts in the CC32xx forum.

  • Thanks Ki-Soo Lee.
The update succeeded by following your advice of cache cleanup.
I will post the second question on the CC32xx forum. Thanks for this pointer too.
