CCS: CCSV6.1.3 compiler 6.4.12 TMS320F2812 "Remote system Explorer Operation" slowing down compiling.

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

Hello all,

I am at the moment slowed during compiltation with a message "Remlote System Eplorer Operation".

Only specific things i do is switched from compiler 6.2.7 to 6.4.12 and update the current libraries.

We compile ourselves the libraries, no libc.a or rts2800_ml.lib are included. all sourecs are made available and compiled.

Here 's a copy of my screen:

Thank you,

PA.

  • Hello,
I'm not sure how the RSE plugin can impact compilation. Your screenshot did not get posted correctly. Can you repost it?

    Thanks

  • Hello ,

i m affraid i cant post pictures correctly.. So i m going tpo try to describe the sequence...

When starting a build, a window opens where u can find a "details" button.

When lcicking the "details" button, Normally the messages are "refreshing workspace "...

Now i have 4 to 6 messages "Remote System Explorer operation".. As if the compiler was looking for files...

    Does it seem clearer?

     Thank you

    Pierre-Axel.

  • I think i understand the issue. Remote System Explorer should not directly impact compilation. But it can indirectly impact it if it is slowing down the system overall.

Can you try using a clean new workspace folder and import the project to that one?

    Thanks

  • Hello,

    Thanks for your support.

the problem disapperaed the same way it has appeared.. meaning without any changes on the environment..

I hope it will not re-appear, and so far, is not an issue...

    Thank you,

    PA N.
