CCS/CODECOMPOSER: Graph does not show up

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

I am using Code Composer Studio Version: 7.3.0.00019 and i am unable to see the graph come up when asked to plot against a variable in expressions tab.

Please see the image attached for how i am trying to generate the graph. I also tried to open the graph tab by following the path Window->Show View->other-> Line Graph, but no result or action seen at all.

I searched the forum and googled the query, always everyone is at least able to get the graph tab, while i don't see any action being taking place.

Any help on resolving this will be much appreciated.

Hi,

Please check section 3.5 of:
processors.wiki.ti.com/.../GSG:Debugging_projects_v5

You can also open the CCS Help --> Contents and search for Graphs. This will display the "Graph Properties" topic with a comprehensive explanation of all the settings relevant to format the data.

I've been working with the customer on this issue. We have been able to open the graph window on other PC's including my own, but the same steps do not work for Sudhanshu on his PC. Same version of tools and everything. We are wondering if we can troubleshoot this further.

Stuart,

In this case, I am strongly suspicious the workspace that Sudhanshu is using may be corrupt. Can you go through the steps 4 and 6 of the troubleshooting page below?

processors.wiki.ti.com/.../Troubleshooting_CCSv7

If that does not work, can Sudhanshu close CCS and remove the temporary directories (minus C:\Users\<your_username>\ti ) shown highlighted in section 2.7 of the same page?

Performing these steps is the closest to a fresh install as it can be, thus it is certainly worth trying.
