CCS: Can't install CCS v8 on Windows 10 Home version 1803

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

I have a problem with installing CCSv8. Like in the Picture here, anyone can help?

I also try to install the offline version, but when extract the package, it said files are corrupted.

  • Hello user...,

your desktop picture shows you have no CCS installations for this particular user.
If so, go to user home folder (c:\users\... or like this) and delete folders like ".TI*", "ti" and other Ti staff, if any.

Turn off Windows Defender online protection.
Right click CCS offline installer icon and select "Run as Administrator" or something like this (depending on your locale).

I recommend you to install CCS v8.0 under c:\ti\ccs800.
It would help when installing other CCS versions.

    Should be o.k.

  • So is the screen capture from the web installer but then with the offline installer you get a different corruption error when attempting to extract the zip file?

If you are getting an error with corrupted files when extracting the zip it sounds a problem with the internet connection and the file getting corrupted on download. If that is the case I would keep trying download the offline installer until you get an uncorrupted version. The web installer is likely to keep failing as it has to continually download files during install and would have more opportunity for issue. As Tomasz mentioned disabling windows defender is also not a bad idea, it could be contributing to the corruption.

    John
